Mercury has no atmosphere though its exosphere contains many pure substances including the elements; 42 percent oxygen (non-metal), 29 percent sodium (metal), 22 percent hydrogen (non-metal), 6 percent helium (non-metal/substance), 0.5 percent potassium (metal/alloy), and may have amounts of elements such as argon (non-metal), nitrogen (non-metal), xenon (non-metal), krypton (non-metal), and neon (non-metal/substance). It also may contain the compounds, carbon dioxide (substance) and water (substance/mixture). Water being the only mixture in the planet and also is an aqueous solution called solvent. Mercury's magnetic field is roughly 1% of Earths magnetic field. With an iron core, Mercury is about 2,200 to 2,400 miles wide. The outer shell is about 300 to 400 miles thick.
